Craig (15) suffers from clinical depression. As time goes by, his distorted vision of himself becomes so unbearable that he plans the day he will take his own life. His suicidal plan takes shape and the chosen day arrives. This is an important book; it reminds us of the problematic issues of depression experienced by the youngest. The author approaches this serious problem with care. The book is very informative and it may be used as guidance for seeking help and support. It highlights the causes of depression among teenagers rather than the effects which we tend to be more knowledgeable about. The way social pressure impacts teens and leads them to depression is intelligently tackled with the right balance of seriousness and humor. Thanks to it, the reader goes on a psychological journey with Craig.I deeply recommend this book to everyone. It is definitely worth reading and it will give you awareness of this issue. The characters are touching, easy to relate to and funny.
Warning
You break into tears after reading some exceptionally sad passages.
Quotes
